JAKARTA - Police are still investigating the case of the F2 Melawai Hotel fire, South Jakarta. The Deputy Head of Criminal Investigation at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Henrikus Yossi, said that three victims died, namely HM, NA, and RA had been brought by their families.

"The three of them have been brought their respective families to be buried," Yossi told reporters, Monday, August 21.

Yossi said that until now his party had examined three witnesses from the hotel manager and the victim's family.

Furthermore, the National Police Laboratory and Forensic Center (Puslabfor) explored the chronology and causes of the hotel fire by conducting a crime scene (TKP) on Friday, August 18.

In the results of the crime scene, several samples were taken from the F2 Melawai Hotel, South Jakarta.

"Currently, it is in the process of processing to determine where the fire came from, to how the fire appeared. Of course, some of the remaining items or items from the fire were taken. From the ashes, statements from witnesses, the emergence of the hotspots. Later, after the laboratory results come out, whether the hotspots are true," he added.
