Gelora Party And Gerindra Discuss The Technical Agreement Of Prabowo Subianto's Support As A Presidential Candidate

JAKARTA - The ranks of the National Leadership Council (DPN) of the Indonesian People's Wave Party (Gelora) and the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Gerindra Party held a meeting to discuss technical support for the presidential candidate as well as the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto. The meeting to discuss more technical matters regarding the support of the Indonesian Gelora Party for Mr. Haji Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate for the Republic of Indonesia in the 2024 presidential election," said Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Indonesian Gelora Party Mahfuz Sidik at the Media Center of the Gelora Party of Indonesia, Jakarta, Saturday, August 19. Mohfuz explained that his party had carried out intense communication with the Gerindra Party since March 2023. In addition, the Gelora Indonesia Party has consolidated 38 regional leadership councils regarding support for Prabowo. "They are also communicating and coordinating with 514 regional leadership councils throughout the city/district," continued Mahfuz. He said that as of August 7, 2023, the Gelora Party DPN of Indonesia had received an official letter from 38 regional leadership councils that agreed to propose Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate in the upcoming presidential election. "Later in DPN agreed when the declaration will be at its central level. We will wait for further directions from the Gerindra Party DPP," said the Secretary General of the Indonesian Gelora Party. Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, said that the declaration of support for the Indonesian Gelora Party for Prabowo is planned to be held at the end of August 2023.

"Kami tadi bicara dengan Pak Mahfuz, ada beberapa alternatif tanggal. Nanti kita akan cocokkan dengan waktu di sini dan waktunya Pak Prabowo, tapi mungkin Insya Allah akhir Agustus 2023," kata Muzani.Sekjen Partai Gerindra menyampaikan terima kasih atas dukungan Partai Gelora Indonesia. Menurutnya, dukungan tersebut merupakan kabar yang menggembirakan sekaligus melegakan bagi Partai Gerindra."Inilah sebabnya Gelora di tingkat pusat akan segera mendeklarasikan keputusan ini karena memformulasikan atas keputusan yang sudah diambil Partai Gelora di tingkat kabupaten, kota, dan provinsi. Terima kasih atas keputusan ini dan hari ini kami datang untuk memastikan hal itu," ucap Muzani.Saat ini, terdapat 575 kursi di parlemen sehingga pasangan calon presiden dan wakil presiden pada Pilpres 2024 harus memiliki dukungan minimal 115 kursi di DPR RI. Bisa juga, pasangan calon diusung oleh parpol atau gabungan parpol peserta Pemilu 2019 dengan total perolehan suara sah minimal 34.992.703 suara.
