Last 8 Months 960 Dengue Cases In Bogor, 4 Of Them Died

The Bogor City Government through the Health Office (Dinkes) said that from January 2023 to the middle of 2023, 960 cases of dengue fever had occurred in Bogor City. Of the hundreds of cases, even 4 of them died. Anticipating the dryness and dengue fever, the Bogor City Government invited the private sector to promote Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN) with the Jentik Monitoring Juru (Jumantik).Dedie Rachim Mayor appreciates the activities that have tried to help the Bogor City Government to reduce dengue fever due to aedes aegypti mosquito. The latest data from the Health Service (Dinkes), said Dedie, since January there have been 960 cases of dengue fever spread across several hospitals in Bogor City. "And there are four (people) who died. So we appreciate that Indomaret and Baygon have helped. Hopefully, with the assistance provided by dengue fever, it can be more effective and cadres can get more attention to more enthusiastic about eradicating mosquitoes," said Dedie Rachim. Currently, Bogor City has almost 2,400 jumantic cadres spread throughout the RW. That way, Dedie Rachim hopes that similar assistance can be comprehensive in all regions. The assistance provided is in the form of mosquito spraying accompanied by jumantic socialization.

Dedie Rachim also appealed to the public to continue to maintain environmental cleanliness. "Do not let puddles trigger the growth of mosquito larvae, especially not to litter," he said.
