Police Will Ask MUI And Kominfo For Information On The Oklin Fia Celebrity Ice Cream Content Case

JAKARTA - The police will ask for information from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) in handling immoral cases involving the Oklin Fia celebrity.

Oklin Fia was policed for making video content eat ice cream. Where, there are scenes that are considered immoral.

"According to the experts, yes, there are experts, including from, we plan to ask the Indonesian Ulema Council," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin to reporters, Thursday, August 17.

However, it was not detailed about the time of the examination of the MUI. It was only conveyed that the investigative team had sent an invitation letter.

Not only that, Komarudin also added that the plan from the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) would also be questioned. This is done to ensure whether there is a criminal element related to ITE.

"Then also from ITE we will ask for information from Kominfo experts," said Komarudin.

With this report, Oklin Fia is suspected of violating decency, namely Article 27 Paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 45 Paragraph 1 of the ITE Law.

Meanwhile, on August 16, 2023, the preacher Pipik Dian Irawati Popon or better known as Umi Pipik also reported Oklin Fia to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police following the viral content.
