Praises Russia-China Military Intimate Relations, Defense Minister Shoigu: We Implement The Agreement Of Leaders

JAKARTA - Russia and China maintain communication between the military of the two countries at a high level and conduct joint exercises on land, sea and air, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said, praising the good relations between the two countries.

"We maintain contact at a high level, exchange delegates, conduct joint exercises and exercises on our joint patrols on land, sea and air," he said during a meeting with Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu on the sidelines of the 11th Moscow Conference on International Security. August 15th.

Furthermore, Defense Minister Shoigu noted that cooperation with China was developed bilaterally and in multilateral formats, such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and ADMM-Plus (Meeting of the Minister of Defense ASEAN Plus).

"Russia and China are good strategic partners, good neighbors and close friends," he said.

"During the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Russia this March, leaders of the two countries affirmed that Russia-Chinese comprehensive partnerships and strategic cooperation have reached the highest point ever in the history of bilateral relations. We are implementing the agreement of our leaders in practice," he explained.

On that occasion, Defense Minister Shoigu thanked Defense Minister Li for Beijing for taking part in Moscow's security conference.

Defense Minister Shoigu also noted that China has traditionally been actively taking part in the Army's international forum.
