2 Damaged Roads in Mukomuko Due To Floods Will Immediately Be Repaired by the PUPR Service

BENGKULU - A provincial road in Mukomuko Regency has collapsed due to being hit by a flood. The road conditions are worrying if vehicles pass by.

Head of Bina Marga Office of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Mukomuko Yusup said the road would soon be handled by his party.

"They (Bengkulu Provincial Government) will immediately handle it," he said in Mukomuko, Bengkulu, Monday, August 14, confiscated by Antara.

The subsidence road is precisely located in District V Koto which connects Sungai Lintang Village and Pondok Tengah.

"The road is about to be cut off because it's just asphalt. We will coordinate with the provincial government regarding the construction of the road," he said.

The Chief Executive of the Mukomuko Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Ruri Irwandi added, there were two provincial roads in Mukomuno that were cut off due to flooding. Apart from the V Koto sub-district, there are also subsidence roads in the Teras Terunjam sub-district.

The subsidence road in Teras Terunjam District is now passable because the flood that has submerged the road has receded. So that there is still one road section in District V Koto, which is still broken.

"We have reported the condition of the road that was cut off due to flooding to the Bengkulu Provincial Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and they will coordinate with the Bengkulu Provincial Office," he said.

Apart from that, he said, the floods that have submerged hundreds of houses in a number of areas in Mukomuko Regency since Sunday, August 13 evening are now starting to recede.
