The Gowa District Police, South Sulawesi arrested a man with the initials SF who was 55 years old who raped his own son with the initials N and repeatedly.

"The perpetrator was arrested 1x24 hours after the victim reported the incident to the police. The perpetrator was secured at his house, Batu Bilaya, Bontomannu District, Gowa. Currently, the case is being handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit and is in progress," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gowa Police, AKP Bahtiar, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 9.

The case was revealed after the victim ventured to report his father's lecherous act to the police station. However, the victim continues to be threatened with death if he tells someone else.

From the results of the examination, said Bahtiar, the perpetrator admitted to his own daughter while sleeping in the room. In fact, he repeatedly repeated his actions.

In addition to threatening the 18-year-old victim, the perpetrator even gave a number of drugs to the victim for consumption so as not to get pregnant. However, the police are still investigating the information.

"The perpetrator came close to the victim, then had sexual relations with the victim, where the victim was his biological child. The victim had fought back, but the perpetrator threatened to kill him," said Bahtiar.

Even the victim, when reporting at the Gowa Police Headquarters, fainted, allegedly experiencing severe trauma. At that time, investigators who examined him immediately moved quickly to evacuate him to the clinic for treatment.

"The victim at that time was unconscious at the Resort Police, maybe traumatized, because he was afraid. He was threatened, it made him helpless and still felt scared, it could be traumatized," he said.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 81 of the Criminal Code Law number 17 of 2016 concerning the stipulation of the 2016 Substitute Regulation (Perppu), the second amendment to Law number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
