JAKARTA - Social media activist Permadi Arya alias Abu Janda has finished undergoing an examination at Bareskrim Polri. He was questioned as a reported party in the case of alleged hate speech and blasphemy for 12 hours.

"I was examined for 12 hours. The questions are already 50 questions, definitely more," said Abu Widow at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Monday, February 1.

Of the dozens of questions asked by investigators, said Abu Janda, more were about the intent and purpose of his tweets on social media.

So, he explained to investigators that his tweet was only to answer Teuku Zulkarnain who alluded to the matter of you being a minority.

"When I say arrogant because I respond to Tengku Zul's provocative tweet saying that the minority in this country is arrogant to the majority. That's where the arrogant word comes out," he said.

"And then when I said Islam as a country that came from Arabia I addressed the cleric Tengku Zul," continued Abu Janda.

It's just that, when the tweet went viral there was a misunderstanding. Because the tweet was not accompanied by Teuku Zulkarnain's tweet. Abu Janda emphasized that he did not at all intend to corner Islam.

"It is not that I generalize all of Islam. But what I show to ustadz Tengku Zul, I mean the sect of Islam, is ustad Tengku Zul," he said.

As for Abu Janda, he was examined in connection with Abu Janda's tweet on his Twitter account @ permadiaktivis1, who wrote that Islam was called arrogant because it trampled on local wisdom.

"Islam is indeed the religion of immigrants from Arabic, the original religion of Indonesia is Sundanese Wiwitan, Kaharingan etc. And it is arrogant, it forbids indigenous traditions, people's rituals are dissolved using apostate kebayas, wayang kulit is forbidden. Abu Janda's statement was reported to Bareskrim Polri and registered with the number STTL / 033/1/2021 / Bareskrim dated January 29, 2021.

In the report, Abu Janda is suspected of committing a criminal act of hate speech or individual and / or inter-group (sara), Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to Law No. 11 of 2006 concerning information and electronic transactions of article 28 paragraph (2), religious blasphemy No. 1 of 1946 concerning KUHP article 156A.
