Men Burn The Red And White Flag, The Perpetrators Are Acehnese Living In Malaysia

JAKARTA - A video of a man has circulated burning a red and white flag. The police have changed the identity of the man.

"Our team is still working to clarify who the perpetrator is, the names of the perpetrators have been pocketed," said Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Police, Kombes Winardy, to VOI, Saturday, January 30.

Currently the police are still exploring his background. The man who burns the red and white flag is said to live in Malaysia.

"However, the full profile is still being traced. The provisional results show that the perpetrator is Acehnese but is domiciled in Malaysia," he said.

Based on the video seen by VOI, the man burned the red and white flag by sprinkling oil or gasoline.

The man who wore a predominantly black shirt seemed to splash the liquid several times. Although the man did not speak at all, a song could be heard accompanying the burning of the flag.
