Puji Pandawara Group, Bandung Regent Hopes Innovation Will Prevent People From Disposing Of Garbage Carelessly

Bandung Regent Dadang Supriatna hopes that the movement to clean up Pandawara Group waste in the country will inspire the public not to litter.

Cleaning up the garbage is also known to be carried out by the Pandawara Group at the Bugel Dam, Cimekar Village, Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency, in commemorating National River Day recently.

"Hopefully, with the presence of the Pandawara Group in Bandung Regency, it will provide more education to the people of Bandung Regency. So that awareness in terms of throwing garbage can be established in their respective homes," said Dadang in Soreang, Bandung Regency, Thursday, July 27, confiscated by Antara.

Dadang himself expressed his highest gratitude and appreciation to the Pandawara Group for the innovation and creativity of initiating the implementation of waste cleaning activities at the Bugel Dam on Wednesday, July 26.

Actually, he said, the Bandung Regency Government had issued Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2022 concerning Waste Management, but he admitted that this was not optimal.

However, Dadang Supriatna said that when he received information that there was an activity, his party immediately mobilized all needs to be able to help and encourage the company's activities.

"Activities in the context of Commemorating National River Day by choosing the locus point in Bandung Regency, I am very happy. Moreover, in this activity, it was present from the West Java Provincial Environment Agency, the Citarum River Basin Center and the TNI ranks from the Citarum Harum Task Force were also present," he said.

Dadang himself revealed that his party has a future target in Bandung Regency so that it is free of Final Waste Disposal Sites (TPA).

"With the hope that waste management can really generate. Hopefully this can be implemented in Bandung Regency," he said.

He mentioned that Bandung Regency spends up to 1,300 tons every day, but what has not been resolved is around 250 tons per day.

"And we continue to strive to be able to reduce and ultimately zero TPA, which in the end, Bandung Regency will be healthy," he said.

He said, in several places in waste management, there was a shortage of waste, even in the future, his party would launch waste management next month and would invite the Pandawara Group to attend the launching of waste management in Bandung Regency.

"How to handle waste, so that garbage can make money and nothing is detrimental," he said.

Furthermore, Dadang hopes that all people and the government will join hands to always clean up trash in their respective environments.

"Thursday this is National River Day, I congratulate you and hopefully we can optimize our enthusiasm to be able to make the river clean so that the benefits can be felt by all people," he said.
