After Going Viral, The Lampung Provincial Government Ensures That 14 Roads Are Damaged By The End Of The Year

The Lampung Provincial Government (Pemprov) targets the repair of 14 damaged roads in its area funded by the APBD to be completed by the end of 2023.

"Some time ago Lampung's infrastructure conditions received attention from the central government, and currently the construction work on the 14 roads has been running," said Acting Daily Task Force (Plh) Head of the Lampung Province Highways and Construction Development Office Muhammad Taufiqullah, quoted by ANTARA, Monday 24 July.

He said that in the implementation of repairing the 14 damaged roads, apart from obtaining funding assistance from the state budget, his party had also budgeted for regional revenue and expenditure (APBD) funds.

"The target for repairing the 14 roads at the end of the year, precisely in December, can be completed, because currently there are improvements using APBD funds that have been above 50 percent," he said.

He explained that the improvement in infrastructure, apart from utilizing APBD and APBN funds, would also be supported by the use of Inpres funds.

"The repair of 14 damaged roads, including those reviewed by the President in Central Lampung Regency, is funded by the APBD, APBN. And some will also be funded by the Inpres funds. Soon DIPA will go down and will immediately conduct an auction and be carried out for those funded through the Presidential Instruction Fund," he said.

According to him, for the construction of roads that have not been completed through APBD and Inpres funds, they will be completed using APBN funds.

"The rest (road sections) that have not been carried out through the APBD will be completed using the APBN but are currently still waiting for DIPA to go down. Hopefully, the road can be smooth from end to end. In Central Lampung Regency, the progress of improvement is also above 40 percent," he said.

He continued by using a concrete rigid construction pattern, it is hoped that the work process can run quickly and with good quality.

"Hopefully everything will be worked out quickly, to reduce the risk of weather constraints and prevent the slowdown in work due to the accumulation of traffic due to the application of the open and close pattern. Because in this work using a rigid design, it must be done next to each other," he added.

It is known that the repair of road infrastructure in Lampung refers to Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023 concerning the Acceleration of Improvement of Regional Road Connectivity, and regional road construction can be carried out through three supporting schemes such as through the Special Allocation Fund (DAK), government assistance through the State Budget, and through the Inpres funds.

It is known based on data from the Bina Marga Bina Construction Office of Lampung Province from a total length of roads that are the authority of the province along 1,693,273 kilometers, with 98 roads divided into 16 corridors.

Of these, for roads with steady conditions, there are 76.85 percent and 23.15 percent of them are not steady.

With road conditions heavily damaged along 256.471 kilometers, lightly damaged 131.076 kilometers, moderately damaged 468.630 kilometers, and well-conditioned 832.666 kilometers.

In detail, the handling of provincial road infrastructure has a budget ceiling for handling in 2021-2023 for road rehabilitation and reconstruction of IDR 260.56 billion and which routinely runs IDR 57.70 billion in 2021, then IDR 439.63 billion and which routinely runs IDR 79.65 billion in 2022, and in 2023 IDR 656.07 billion with routine work running of IDR 55.43 billion.

Meanwhile, roads handled by the APBN with a total budget of Rp800 billion cover the Korpri-Purwotani Simpang Road with a ceiling of Rp69.2 billion, Wates-Batas Tanggamus Road section Rp37.7 billion, Kluwih-Jatiringin-Sidoharjo-Umbar border of Rp41.5 billion, East-Selapan Tanjung Jalan Rp28 billion, Jalan Bangun Negara-Cukuh Senuman Rp21.4 billion, Keramat Teluk-Sri Widodo road section Rp37.7 billion, Pagar Dewa-Lumbok Street Rp44 billion, Jalan Negeri Baru-Simpang Tiga Rp33 billion.

Furthermore, the Jalan Daya Sakti-Makarti Rp16.9 billion, Jalan Simpang Triangle Emas-Muara Tenang-Margo So Rp73.5 billion, Jalan Ekamulya Wonosari-KTM Rp55.7 billion, Jalan Bogolama Pasar Balang Rp41.8 billion, Jalan Labuhan Maringai-Marga Sari Rp36.1 billion, Simpang Randu-Seputih Surabaya Rp72.3 billion, and Kota Gajah-Simpang Randu.
