JAKARTA - A Muamalah Market in Depok, West Java, went viral after reportedly using dinars and dirhams as transactions. Zaim Saidi moved the use of gold and silver coins.

Zaim Saidi is the leader of Amirat Nusantara, the party in charge of the muamalah market. A post from the Twitter account @Pencerah_ said that Zaim had been campaigning for the use of dinars and dirhams for a long time.

In Indonesia, the dinar and dirham are quite popular investment products. The Indonesian government allows the use of dinars and dirhams for investment, dowries and zakat payments.

The company that produces the currency in Indonesia is PT Aneka Tambang Tbk or Antam. Various types of dinars and dirhams were produced by the company.
