DKI Jakarta Will Add 5 COVID-19 Private Hospitals

JAKARTA - Head of DKI Health Service, Widyastuti, said that her party would add five COVID-19 referral hospitals from private hospitals.

"Yesterday, we had 101 referral hospitals. Five more are in process. The five are private hospitals", said Widyastuti on Thursday, January 28.

In addition to adding referral hospitals, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has also proposed an additional 2,676 health personnel. Currently, the application to the Ministry of Health is being processed.

"In adding health facilities, the consequences are, how can there be health workers available", said Widyastuti.

The Ministry of Health, said Widyastuti, has instructed each area in the COVID-19 red zone to increase the capacity of isolation beds and the COVID-19 ICU to 40 percent.

According to Widyastuti, the DKI Provincial Government has reached out to the request. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Hospital has increased the capacity of the COVID-19 treatment bed to 63 percent, BUMN Hospital and other ministries/institutions have increased 53 percent.

However, only 38 percent of private hospitals have become referral hospitals. Therefore, DKI added health facilities from private hospitals.

"Last January, the Minister of Health issued a policy of at least 40 percent, so we coordinate with the Minister of Health to provide strengthening in private health facilities to increase capacity", said Widyastuti.

For information to date, there are 101 COVID-19 referral hospitals in DKI. There are 3 hospitals that have recently been designated as referral hospitals in Jakarta, namely:

1. Ukrida Hospital 2. Antam Medika Hospital3. Harapan Jayakarta Hospital

Then, there are 8 hospitals designated as referrals based on the Decree of the Minister of Health Number HK.01.07/MENKES/169/2020, including:

Then, there are 90 lists of Covid-19 referral hospitals in Jakarta which were determined based on the Governor's Decree (Kepgub) Number 987 of 2020 concerning the Determination of Referral Hospital for COVID-19 Control.
