Dozens Of ASN And 3 Mual Children, Dizzy And Vomiting Allegedly Food Poisoning At Weddings

GOWA - Dozens of victims were rushed to the hospital allegedly due to poisoning after eating food provided by the bride and groom who held a celebration at the Adi Jaya Building, Jalan KH Wahid Hasyim, Somba Opu District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, Tuesday, July 18 afternoon. The victims arrived from evening to receive treatment at the Syekh Yusuf Regional General Hospital (RSUD), after several hours of eating at the wedding party. "When I ate, I felt nauseous and dizzy, then vomited. There were several people who experienced the same thing," said one of the victims Yusran at the local hospital as reported by Antara, Wednesday, July 19. From the information obtained, it was recorded that 28 people were suspected of having food poisoning, the state civil apparatus (ASN) of the Gowa Regency Government, and three of them were children. Currently, the victims are still undergoing intensive care. Head of Medical Services at the Syekh Yusuf Hospital, doctor Suryadi, told reporters that the victims complained of the same illness, apart from diarrhea they also experienced nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and headaches. "We are worried that this on average admits to the party. The response we see is that they eat at the party during the day, the incident only lasted three to four hours after arriving here. We are worried that additional patients will still arrive again," he said. Temporary data that came in as many as 28 people, are likely to increase. Meanwhile, to ascertain whether food consumed by victims, he said, the Health Office had gone down to take samples. "Regarding the food, let friends from the Health Office (research). We focus on how the patient's emergency actions are taken. Possibly (many victims) because there was a patient's friend here (eating at the party) also suddenly dropped. We are worried that there will be people who come again, hopefully it doesn't increase," he hoped. Confirmed separately, the Head of Investigation and General Crime (Reskrim) of the Gowa Police, Adjunct Police Commissioner (AKP) Bahtiar, confirmed the poisoning incident.

Currently the team is carrying out investigations including taking samples of the food. "While we are investigating the cause," said Bahtiar briefly.
