BOGOR Bogor City Government (Pemkot), West Java, has tightened changes to family cards (KK) in the aftermath of the rampant problems in the implementation of the 2023 New Student Admission (PPDB) zoning system.
Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto, there will be improvements in terms of technical services, especially the Education Office (Disdik), as well as the Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil).
To Disdukcapil, Bima Arya emphasized the Family Card (KK) data. He asked for strict conditions in the changes or updating of the KK. This KK data is said to be one of the polemics in the PPDB zoning system.
"So, everything makes the KK apply stricter conditions, so it is not too easy to create and change the KK. Including the conditions for moving," said Bima Arya, Monday, July 17.
According to Bima Arya, it is also possible that there will be a tightening of changes to the KK for the insertion of other family members, such as nephews and so on. The issue is said to be coordinated with the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Dukcapil of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).
"We will coordinate with the Directorate General of Adminduk (Dukcapil) regarding the nomenclature of this other family (family). It should not be allowed anymore. That's in terms of population," said Bima Arya.
Bima Arya also highlighted the barcode on the KK. According to him, in this PPDB there was a problem in scanning the KK barcode, so the problem was not identified.
The matter of scanning the KK is related to factual verification steps, which will be emphasized to the Bogor City Education Office in the PPDB process. "So, scan the barcode for accuracy (data). Then factual verification in the field must be carried out," said Bima Arya.
Regarding the PPDB zoning system in the future, Bima Arya said, his party is waiting for a policy from the central government. "We have to be ready. We are part of the center. Yes, we will do our portion for improvement. Improvement of Dukcapil, Disdik, and coordination of schools with Dukcapil and the region," he said.
Regarding PPDB, Bima Arya also mentioned about efforts to add new public schools. He admitted that he had held a meeting with the leadership of the Bogor City DPRD.

During the meeting, it was agreed that there was a budget allocation in the APBD for the construction of a new state junior high school in Bogor City, adjusted based on the needs and locations.
"It must be budgeted for next year and also recommended to the province for (development) high school as well. That (SMA) is not our authority. However, we are compiling data on what kind of needs it is," said Bima Arya.
