Bireuen Prosecutor's Office Examines 16 Witnesses Of Alleged Corruption Of PNPM Rp3.3 Billion

BANDA ACEH - Investigator of the Bireuen District Attorney's Office (Kejari), Aceh, stated that it had examined 16 witnesses in investigating allegations of corruption in the management of savings and loan funds in the National Community Empowerment Program (PNPM) with a budget of IDR 3.3 billion.

Head of the Bireuen Kejari Munawal Hadi said dozens of witnesses, including being questioned regarding the management of PNPM savings and loan funds for the Gandapura District, Bireuen Regency.

"A total of 16 witnesses have been questioned. These witnesses include 13 borrowers, both groups and individuals and not other related parties," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 17.

Da said the investigation of the case had been upgraded to the investigation stage.

Investigators continue to work to collect goods and evidence before determining who the suspects are.

"Until now, investigators have not named the suspect. Determination of the suspect will be carried out after the investigative team gets evidence of the calculation of state losses. Calculation of state losses is carried out by the Aceh Provincial Inspectorate," he said.

Munawal Hadi said the Bireuen Kejari investigated the case after there were reports of alleged irregularities in the management of savings and loan funds for women from PNPM in Gandapura District, Bireuen Regency.

In investigating the case, the investigation team in the field of special criminal acts of the Bireuen Kejari has searched the Gandapura District PNPM Office. Search to look for evidence and evidence to confirm the case in court.

"From the search, the investigative team found related documents in the form of group proposals, fund management bank accounts, payment lists, PNPM Gandapura management decrees and several other related documents," said Munawal Hadi.
