The Names Of Candidates For Kabareskrim Will Be Discussed At Wanjakti

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters emphasized that the selection of a replacement for General Listyo Sigit Prabowo as Kabareskrim is still awaiting a decision from the Council of Ranks and High Positions (Wanjakti).

The position of Kabareskrim was vacant after General Listyo Sigit Prabowo officially served as National Police Chief after being inaugurated by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"For the appointment of Kabareskrim, I convey that it will be discussed at Wanjakti, the high-level policy council", said the Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Thursday, January 28.

Later, Wanjakti will discuss the names who will serve as Kabareskrim. Furthermore, the name chosen will be submitted to the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

"Who will be appointed is the authority of the Chief of Police", he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that the Indonesian Police Watch (IPW) Presidium Neta S. Pane said there were 4 names that were said to be the strongest candidates as Kabareskrim.

"For the position of Kabareskrim, there are rumors that there are at least 4 candidates", said Neta.

The four people who are predicted to become the head of the Criminal Investigation Unit include Deputy Head of Criminal Investigation Report, Inspector General Wahyu Hadiningrat, the East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Nico Afinta, the Aceh Regional Police Chief Inspector General Wahyu Widada, and the West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Dofiri.

Neta said that the four names emerged as the strongest candidates for Kabareskrim because they had very good track records. For example, Inspector General Wahyu Widada, who was the best graduate of the 1991 Police Academy (Akpol).

"Wahyu Widada is Adhi Makayasa in his class the Chief of Police Listyo, namely Akpol 91. He is the head of the team for making the Sigit paper for the fit test at Commission 3", said Neta.

Meanwhile, according to Neta, Inspector General Dofiri was a senior from Komjen Listyo, namely Akpol 1989. But Neta did not specifically explain other reasons besides the seniority factor.

"Inspector General Nico Afinta is Sigit's success team who accompanied him during the due diligence at Commission 3", said Neta.

"Meanwhile, Wahyu Hadiningrat is the head of the Listyo's success team who accompanied Sigit on the roadshow to various figures, including a number of former police chiefs", he continued.
