Government Increases Budget For Development Of Four Papua DOB Office Centers To IDR 11 Trillion

SORONG - The central government has increased the budget value for the construction of office centers in four new autonomous regions (DOB) in Papua from Rp9.9 trillion to Rp11 trillion sourced from the state budget.

Acting Governor of Southwest Papua Muhammad Musa'ad explained that the additional budget value for the construction of office centers in four DOB areas, namely Southwest Papua, South Papua, Central Papua and Papua, this Rp11 trillion worth of Mountains has eased the burden of the provincial budget.

"We have been greatly helped because initially Rp9.9 trillion has now increased to Rp11 trillion," explained Musa'ad as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 10.

Even openly, he said, President Joko Widodo had conveyed that there was an increase in the budget for the plan to build a newly formed provincial government head office.

Thus, the provincial budget, which was originally planned for the construction of government offices, will be allocated for community service needs.

"So we will use the provincial APBD funds for public services," said Musa'ad.

In this regard, the Southwest Papua Provincial Government continues to prepare strategic matters to support the construction of office centers in the region.

One of the efforts being made is to hold a meeting with the Sorong Regency Government to discuss matters relating to the handover of land certificates that will be used for the construction of the Southwest Papua Provincial government center at the Wombik Stadium location, precisely at kilometer 16, Sorong City.

"So going there we have to make sure the status of the land at the construction site, because the location is indeed included in the Sorong Regency area so that we pursue and complete the status of the land," said Musa'ad.

Thus, when after the handover of this certificate asset, he ensures that it will be followed up immediately with the construction process

In addition to offices, the Southwest Papua Provincial Government plans to build a airport center as a means of sports activities.

"However, as long as representative sports facilities have not been built, the Wombik Stadium building will be maintained and while revitalizing several parts of the stadium to become icons," said Musa'ad.

In addition, President Jokowi is claimed by Musa 'ad to order the West Papua Provincial Government to organize the area around the area that is the head office of the government.

The land target used for the construction of an office center covering an area of 100 hectares, with details of 52 hectares, has been handed over by the Sorong Regency Government, then the rest is in the process of being tried with the owner of the customary rights.

"The change in the Permendagri related to the boundary boundary on the land for the planned construction of the Southwest Papua Provincial government office has been carried out and while it is in the process, we hope the process will be completed soon," said Musa'ad.

It is planned that in the planned visit of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in the near future, the laying of the first stone for the construction of the central government office of the Southwest Papua Province will soon be carried out.
