This Woman Was Arrested For Desperately Smuggling Methamphetamine In Pentul Meatballs To Tulungagung Prison

TULUNGAGUNG - Tulungagung Class IIB Penitentiary, East Java thwarted an attempt to smuggle methamphetamine in the packaging of meatball pentols by a female visitor with the initials NDA.

"The meatball is intended for one of the inmates with the initials YAN, a drug convict," said Head of Class IIB Tulungagung Prison R. Budiman Priyatna Kusumah as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 5.

The disclosure of this smuggling attempt, he said, began with the suspicion of officers in 20 rounds of NDA meatball pentols which were in the form of ovals and softer than generally.

"Officers then checked in more detail by squeezing and stabbing several meatballs and it turned out that there was a plastic package containing methamphetamine," said Budiman.

It is said that the prevention of the silting was carried out by guards guarding the area of the visitors' reception gate at the bezuk hour on Tuesday (4/7) at around 14.30 WIB.

The regular ordering for side dishes and meatballs is brought in a container of plastic boxes covered, mixed with rice and other side dishes.

After the meatballs were opened (split) one by one, officers found that there were 10 pentols containing small plastic packages containing methamphetamine.

"The total (drugs) of methamphetamine that we managed to confiscate were 4.32 grams. We will immediately coordinate these findings with our police colleagues for further handling and development," he said.

Tulungagung Police officers from the drug investigation unit also moved quickly to follow up. Several investigators immediately came to examine NDA and YAN who were said to be potential recipients of the meatball food containing the methamphetamine.

However, the results of the investigation so far have not been informed by the police or the Tulungagung Prison, for the sake of investigating the case.

"Currently the police are carrying out developments, for further information we can confirm with the police," he said.
