NTB - Mataram City Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) office said that the insurance for pilgrims who died in Makkah will be processed after the completion of the repatriation of all Lombok 2023 embarkation pilgrims.

Head of Section (Kasi) for Hajj and Umrah (PHU) at the Mataram City Ministry of Religion H Kasmi said, to propose the death of Hajj insurance, several documents from the heirs and the Hajj committee who are currently still in the Holy Land are needed.

"Therefore, we will process the insurance after all the pilgrims return home because the chairman of the group and the accompanying doctor will make a report. Their belongings were brought by the head of the group," he said in Mataram, NTB, Tuesday, July 4, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said, after various insurance proposal requirements documents were completed by the heirs, it would then be proposed to the central government through the NTB Ministry of Religion Office, along with Hajj documents that died from other regencies/cities included in the Lombok Embarkation.

"For the amount, we cannot yet know. Our task is only to propose while the disbursement process will be fully accepted directly by the heirs," he said.

A hajj named Lalu Marlan Warti (71) from Kejalik Indah NTB is known to have died in the Holy Land after completing various series of mandatory Hajj pillars on Saturday, July 1. The body, which is part of the group 4 of the Lombok Embarkation, was immediately buried in Makkah.

While alluding to the condition of 687 hajjes from Mataram City, Kasmi said, until now all pilgrims are in good health.

"Information from the officers after the congregation returned from Arafah, Alhamdulillah, all the pilgrims were in good health and none were hospitalized," he said.

Now the pilgrims are carrying out various obligatory prayers such as five-time mandatory prayers, then the sunnah Umrah, and let them go to the graves of the Prophet's friends, scholars, historical places and others while waiting for the time to be dispatched to Medina.

The congregation will be in Medina for eight days to perform Arbain prayers at the Prophet's Mosque, as well as make a pilgrimage to the grave of the Prophet Muhammad and his friends.

"Therefore, nine days before returning to the country, the congregation will go to Medina. Mataram pilgrims in batch 4 are scheduled to arrive at Lombok Airport on July 24, 2023," he said.
