YOGYAKARTA - Some people may want to know the profile of AKBP Tri Suhartanto, the former Head of the Corruption Eradication Commission (Kasatgas) Investigation Unit who is suspected of carrying out odd transactions worth Rp. 300 billion.

Previously, former KPK investigator Novel Baswedan revealed that there was a suspicious transaction carried out by a former anti-corruption commission employee.

Novel revealed the findings based on the results of an analysis from the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) submitted to law enforcement.

The parties who make transactions are employees at the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK in the last years or under the leadership of Firli Bahuri.

"The transaction value is Rp. 300 billion, and I suspect more, some say it is almost Rp. 1 trillion even," Novel said on his YouTube channel, Sunday, July 2, 2023.

Through the show, Novel clearly mentioned the name of the owner of the transaction, namely Tri Suhartanto, the former Head of the Investigation Task Force who had been returned to the National Police as of February 1, 2023.

AKBP Tri Suhartanto is a graduate of the 1997 Police Academy. His current position in the Bhayangkara Corps is the Kapolres Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (Kalsel). Tri was sworn in on April 19, 2023 and holds the rank of Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police (AKBP).

Prior to carrying out this mandate, Tri Suhartanto was trusted to be the Head of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Investigation Task Force (Kasatgas).

KPK Enforcement and Institutional Spokesperson Ali Fikri said Tri Surhartanto served at the KPK at the end of 2018 and was completed in February 2023.

Ali said Tri returned to his original institution because his term of office ended and was not another problem.

"The person concerned returned to the National Police because his term of duty had already ended. So it's not because of other problems at the KPK," Ali said in a written statement, Monday, July 3, quoted from VOI.

Regarding Tri Suhartanto's alleged odd transaction, Ali said that the transaction was only money that had been circulating in the account because there was a private business since 2004. The transaction was carried out before Tri joined the KPK.

"In fact, since 2018 the account in question has also been closed," said Ali.

Tri Suhartanto's Wealth

In a report accessed on the e-LHKPN website, Tri owns land and buildings worth Rp9.9 billion. These assets are spread across Bandung and Bogor.

Furthermore, Tri, who currently serves as Kapolres Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, is recorded to have one motorbike and two cars with a total price of Rp. 1,005,000,000.

The details are Kawasaki Ninja 250 in 2013, the results alone, Rp25 million; Toyota Innova car in 2019, own results, Rp430 million; and Toyota Fortuner car in 2021, the results alone, Rp550 million. Tri, which now holds the rank of AKBP, also has cash and cash equivalents of Rp750 million.

He has no other assets and securities and debts. Thus, his total wealth reaches IDR 11,655,000,000.
