Voxpopuli Survey: PDIP-Gerindra Electability Strictly Competes, NasDem Sluggish Under PPP

JAKARTA - The results of the Voxpopuli survey show that PDI-P's electability reaches 17.1 percent and competes fiercely with the Gerindra Party which reaches 16.4 percent.

"The electability of PDIP and Gerindra is competing at the top," said Voxpopuli Research Center Communications Director Achmad Subadja as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 3.

According to Achmad, the intense competition between the PDI-P and Gerindra is in line with the rivalry between the prospective presidential candidate and the General Chair of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto and the prospective presidential candidate from the PDI-P Ganjar Pranowo in the presidential candidate market.

"It's just that the effect of the coattail effect seems to be enjoyed by Gerindra more than PDIP," said Achmad.

With the existing electability trend, said Achmad, Gerindra, who has always been in second place, now has the opportunity to shift the PDI-P.

Meanwhile, both PDI Perjuangan and Ganjar Pranowo, who had experienced a decline in electability, are now both soaring again or rebounding.

"The PDIP decision to accelerate the declaration of Ganjar's candidacy has succeeded in leveraging the increase in their electability," said Achmad.

Therefore, Achmad warned of Gerindra's great opportunity to outperform PDIP if Prabowo's electability continued to move up.

"The coat effect of Prabowo's can threaten the PDIP's chances of scoring ahattrick while breaking the record after post-reforming," said Achmad.

On the other hand, Golkar took the lead in the top three with 8.5 percent electability, followed by PKB (7.7 percent), Democrats (6.1 percent), PSI (5.8 percent), and PKS (4.6 percent).

"Seven parties are predicted to qualify for Senayan, while the rest still have to fight hard," said Achmad.

Including NasDem, which incidentally brought the presidential candidate at the earliest. The presidential candidate promoted by NasDem is Anies Baswedan.

NasDem's electability is at 2.6 percent, one place below PPP (2.8 percent), and is overshadowed by PAN (2.3 percent) and Perindo (1.7 percent).

Furthermore, there are the Gelora Party (1.2 percent) and Ummat (1.0 percent). Next the PBB (0.7 percent), and Hanura (0.3 percent), while PKN, Garuda, and Labor have zero support, and the rest stated that they did not know / did not answer as much as 21.2 percent.

The Voxpopuli Research Center survey was conducted on June 15-21, 2023, to 1,200 randomly selected respondents (multistage random sampling) representing all provinces in Indonesia. The margin of error survey is approximately 2.9 percent, at a 95 percent confidence level.
