5 Residents Who Played Gambling At The Purwoloyo Pucansewit Solo TPU Were Arrested By The Police

SOLO - The Sparta Team of the Samapta Unit of the Surakarta City Police, Central Java arrested five residents who were busy playing kiu-kiu gambling at the Purwoloyo Pucanpeklit Public Cemetery (TPU), Jebres District, Solo.

The police arrested the five gamblers from public information from the Sparta DSat Samapta Team Call Center. It was reported that there were a group of residents who were gambling with money bets.

"The five gamblers are under investigation for legal proceedings at the Surakarta Police Headquarters," said Head of the Surakarta Police Samapta Sat Samapta Kompol Arfian Riski Dwi Wibowo as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 30.

After receiving the report, he immediately responded quickly to the location according to information and it turned out that it was true that a group of residents were gathering to gamble on a kiu-kiu type domino card.

A number of residents who gathered at the location immediately rushed to flee in various directions. With an alert, the Sparta Team gave chase and managed to catch five perpetrators.

The five perpetrators after being interrogated admitted to gambling the type of kiu-kiu with domino cards and money bets.

The five gamblers with the initials T (61), OP (34), NAK (20), RBP (45), and P (44), all residents of Jebres Solo City were immediately secured and taken to the Surakarta Police Headquarters for inspection.

In addition, the police found a number of pieces of evidence in the form of a bet amounting to Rp366,000, a VIVO mobile phone unit, three domino cards, a set of playing cards and a pieto or dice gambling.

"The perpetrators and their evidence were secured to the Surakarta Police Headquarters and handed over to the Criminal Investigation Unit for follow-up according to procedures," he said.

For the actions of the perpetrators charged with Article 303 of the Criminal Code, concerning the Crime of Gambling, the threat of imprisonment is a maximum of four years and/or a maximum fine of Rp. 10 million rupiah.
