JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency revealed that there are three options for the Integrated Moda Raya (MRT) Phase II Depot location which is still under review by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

"There are several options (location of Phase II MRT Depots), all of which are reviewed and checked from administration, technical and environmental constraints. Everything is checked so that it supports MRT operations later," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Syafrin Liputo as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 30.

The locations that are the option of the Phase II MRT Depot are in the Ancol area, the MRT Existing Depot in Lebak Bulus and Kampung Bandan.

The DKI Provincial Government (Pemprov) is still conducting a study of the MRT Phase II Depot land which is targeted to be completed in the next two weeks.

"There has been no decision on the MRT (Fase II) depot. We are still conducting studies. We hope that in the last two weeks, in July we will have a comprehensive final study result," said Syafrin.

The study is still being carried out related to mitigation of disasters. "So that the selection of the Phase II MRT Depot location can later match the needs of the future," he said.

PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) targets the MRT Phase 2A Hotel Indonesia (HI)-City roundabout to operate between 2028 or 2029.

"We continue to 'progress' this, I hope that 2028 or 2029 will be completed, until the city has surgery," said the President Director of PT MRT Jakarta Tuhiyat.
