JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Indonesian Ulema Council (Sekum MUI), Amirsyah Tambunan, said that the time difference between Eid al-Adha on June 28 and June 29 was an opportunity to respect each other's differences.
Amirsyah said that this Eid al-Adha should be interpreted as part of the equal momentum for the nation and state that is currently holding Eid al-Adha on June 28 and June 29.
"This Eid momentum we interpret by mutual respect and respect for differences. If there is no difference, the question will not arise how to respond to (differences)," said Amirsyah, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 28.

"This slaughter is important, and now the slaughter technology is very sophisticated. I also suggest slaughtering the sacrifice at the RPH. Why, because in the slaughterhouse the animal can be more hygienic, more orderly," he said.
He continued that there was nothing wrong if it was done in the mosque environment, but with a note of the importance of maintaining cleanliness and peace so as not to disturb the surrounding environment.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairperson of the Mosque Welfare Council (DKM), as well as the Daily Chair of the Al Isra Mosque, Rifki Maulana, estimated that the number of Eid prayer congregations present at the Al Isra Grand Mosque was around 3,500 worshipers, starting from the interior of the mosque to the courtyard.
