Warga Negeri Wakal Maluku Holds Eid Prayer 1444 H Hari Ini

MALUKU - People in the Wakal Country in Maluku Province, perform Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijri or 2023 AD prayers today, Tuesday 27 June.

The Eid prayer was held in the Ama Lisawane Country, which is centered at the Nurul Awal Wakal Mosque.

"Yes, today the people of Wakal have performed Eid al-Adha 1444 hijri/2023 first," said the King of Wakal Country, Ahaja Suneth, in Ambon, Tuesday, June 27, which was confiscated by Antara.

Ahaja said that the 1444 H Eid prayer time carried out by the Wakal community, Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency, was not based on calculations.

According to him, there is a calculation that has been used by local religious leaders for generations in determining when the Sacrificial Eid will be used.

"We look at the moon and it is adjusted to our ancient calendar calculations," said Ahaja.

Based on observations, the implementation of Eid prayers in the Wakal Country is safe and smooth.

Meanwhile, other countries in Leihitu such as Hila, Kitetu, and Seith, will only hold Eid prayers 1444 H on Wednesday, June 28 or Thursday 29 June.
