JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah assessed that mediators have an important role in realizing fair industrial relations.
"The role of mediators is very important in finding solutions for every conflict of interest between workers and employers. In this case, mediators must be able to understand the thoughts of the parties who voice their aspirations," said the Minister of Manpower when opening the Mediator Industrial Relations Coordination Meeting in Jakarta, Monday, June 26.
The Minister of Manpower also emphasized that the competence of mediators should continue to be improved for the realization of industrial relations that are also dynamic and harmonious.
"In the midst of the development of the current dynamics of employment and the influence of technological disruption, the improvement of the quality or competence of functional mediators of industrial relations is needed," said the Minister of Manpower.
According to him, by increasing competence in mediators of industrial relations, it will affect the performance of the organization, both central and regional.
Therefore, he continued, the government through the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) will give appreciation to functional mediator officials who have performance through a performance award policy.
"The government will give rewards to functional mediator officials. Of course what is given a reward is mediators who have good performance," said Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah.
Previously in the National Conference (Munas) of the Industrial Relations Mediator Association (AMHI), the Director General of Industrial Relations Development (PHI) and Employment Social Security (Jamsos) of the Ministry of Manpower Indah Anggoro Putri asked AHMI to always synergize, especially with the Directorate of Industrial Relations Mediators (BMHI) of the Ministry of Manpower.
