Dozens Of Demonstrations At The MA Building Demand Land Mafia Mode In Makassar City

JAKARTA - A number of masses on behalf of the National Coordinating Board for the Islamic Student Legal Consultation and Aid Institute (BAKORNAS LKBHMI PB HMI) visited the Supreme Court (MA) building in Medan Merdeka, Central Jakarta.

Their arrival through peaceful action to urge the Supreme Court to pay attention to the alleged evil conspiracy of the land mafia in the city of Makassar, South Sulawesi, with the mode of falsifying documents on cases that have been examined and decided at the Appeal Level.

Syamsumarlin as Executive Director of BAKARNAS LKBHMI PB HMI explained about his demonstration in the Supreme Court due to the decision of the Makassar High Court (PT) which was deemed not to provide a sense of justice to the victim.

Sem said that there were irregularities in the decision on the appeal level in case number: 221/PID/2023/PT.MKS at the Makassar High Court dated May 11, 2023, which decided to release the defendant and stated that the defendant had been proven to have committed an act as the public prosecutor's indictment, but this act was not a criminal act.

From the facts revealed in the examination of the criminal case trial number: 1557/PID.B/2022/PN.MKS at the Makassar District Court, the decision at the appeal level was deemed not to fulfill the sense of justice for the victim as the injured party.

"PT Makassar has given a sense of injustice to the victim in which the verdict states that the defendant is proven to have falsified documents but it is not considered a criminal act. Even though the Makassar District Court stated that the defendant's actions were legally and convincingly committing the crime of using fake documents. This is our question so that we arrive at the Supreme Court." said Syamsumarlin in a written statement, Thursday, June 22.

The defendant was said to have engineered and used fake letters related to the land object letter located in Tanjung Bunga, Maccini Sombala Village, Tamalate District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province.

"This has clearly harmed the victim/reporter, so that the Panel of Judges decided the criminal case number: 1557/PID.B/2022/PN.MKS which stated that the Defendant had been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act using a fake letter." he continued.

Representatives of protesters claimed to be accepted by the Supreme Court.

"We have been received inside by representatives of the Supreme Court. We convey statements of attitudes and a number of demands related to the engineering of documents that we value as a form of land mafia practice and the court mafia that we must fight together. So far, the families of victims who have rights to the land have been greatly harmed. We hope that this will serve as a warning to the Supreme Court to side with justice", he concluded.

The demonstration went on with a name, without any clashes with the apparat. The traffic situation looks smooth.
