Admitting That He Is Close To Young People, Sandiaga Is Sure That Ganjar Will Be Elected In The 2023 Presidential Election

DENPASAR - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno who was appointed by the United Development Party (PPP) as a vice presidential candidate for Ganjar Pranowo admitted that he was sure that his closeness to young people was a big capital to choose to accompany.

"I am always optimistic because I believe that what represents young people is optimism to contribute positively to the progress of the nation and state," said Sandi, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, June 18.

Sandiaga Uno assessed that being a young vice presidential candidate is an important task to ensure that the aspirations of the younger generation can be fought for, in line with the vision of the presidential candidate made by the PDI-P Ganjar Pranowo.

"We must ensure that this young generation is involved in democratic contestation, contributes to advanced Indonesia, because our time is very narrow, the demographic bonus can only contribute in the next 15 years if it can convert with progress in terms of increasing income per capita," he said.

Based on the data he has, for the 2024 General Election there is more than 50 percent of voters who are the millennial generation and Generation Z under 45 years of age.

According to him, here is the tough task, which is to offer leaders that are relevant to what young people expect, and from their views what is needed is the acceleration of development and the digital and creative economy.

"This tourism is also close to the millennial generation, close to healing activities, this is what we must properly focus on the current economic sector, namely creative products," he said.

Even though he is sure of the capital he has, Sandiaga admits that he is still following the party's directions, so there has been no meeting with Ganjar Pranowo.

Also with Megawati Soekarnoputri, even though her seat was only blocked by two seats at the opening of the Bali Arts Festival, the former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta had not yet spoken about the political stage.
