Sandiaga Talks To Jokowi Will Often Use Green Batik

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno explained his reasons for often wearing green batik to President Joko Widodo after officially joining the United Development Party (PPP).

This was revealed by Sandiaga when the two had coffee together with the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman, TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung at one of the Jakarta Fair outlets, JI Expo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (14/6) night.

Sandiaga officially joined the party bearing the Kaaba symbol and had the green background after receiving a membership card (KTA) along with a PPP jacket from Plt. PPP General Chair Muhamad Mardiono, Wednesday (14/6) afternoon.

"I convey that now I have to use green batik more often, and that is also part of the desire to encourage a green economy, a new and renewable energy-based economy," Sandiaga said in a statement reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 15.

After officially becoming a member of PPP, Sandiaga Uno revealed that he would focus on economic issues.

Therefore, he hopes that Indonesia's leadership can focus on the economic sector because of the big challenges that will be faced by the State, namely maintaining the sustainability of economic growth, ensuring the price of basic commodities is affordable, and creating jobs.

Meanwhile, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung mentioned that Sandiaga now already has a new color in democratic contestation.

President Jokowi, Sandi said, had smiled at Pramono's statement.
