Will Check 3 Dukuh Atas Water Pump Guards, Police: We Want What Officers Do?

JAKARTA - The police will examine three witnesses in a case of alleged sabotage of the water pump cable at the Dukuh Atas Pump House. Those who will be examined are security officers of the pump house.

"Three guards, tonight we will examine them," said Kapolsek Tanah Abang AKBP Singgih Hermawan to reporters, Friday, January 22.

During the interrogation, the police will study the security procedures. Because, how could there be sabotage if there were officers on guard.

"We want to know what the pumping officers are doing," said Singgih.

"Now I want to ask what job he is on guard there, what is the SOP," he continued.

Meanwhile, regarding the alleged sabotage by unplugging the water pump cable, Singgih cannot confirm this. This is because in the initial investigation of the electric conduit to the pump engine, it was installed.

"That's why we want to check this, because yesterday it was just right there, the shape was reattached," he said.

For information, a damaged cable in the pump housing can cause electricity to break, so that the pump does not work. The impact that can occur from this damage is flooding, especially in underpasses which are located below ground level.
