COVID-19 Update As Of May 25: 619 New Cases, Total Cases 6,804,909

JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 17,698 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 619 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,804,909 people and active cases have dropped by 30 to 13,752 cases," said COVID-19 Task Force data, Thursday, May 25.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 131 cases and a total of 1,566,501 cases. Followed by West Java 121 new cases with a total of 1,250,435 cases. East Java 86 new cases and a total of 647,410 cases. Central Java 78 new cases and a total of 661,791 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 194 recovered cases. Followed by South Sumatra with an additional 88 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 80 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 77 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 116,898,679.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 1,258 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
