KPK Ends Allegations Of Giving Money To Guard Trials In The Supreme Court

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that bribery was given to a number of parties to oversee the trial at the Supreme Court (MA). This allegation was investigated by five witnesses who were questioned on Monday, May 22.

"Witnesses were present and their knowledge was investigated, among others, related to the flow of money for the case management process in the Supreme Court, which is suspected to have been directly escorted by parties who have been named as suspects in this case," Head of KPK News Ali Fikri told reporters, Tuesday, May 23.

The five witnesses questioned by the anti-corruption commission were Ruddy Iskandar Nasution, Timothy Ivan Triyono, Riris Riska Diana, and Naila Fitri who were private parties and the finance department at Sastradikarya Law Firm Hardianko. Ali has not yet detailed the investigation.

However, the information regarding the flow of money submitted by the witnesses is expected to make light of the bribery case in case management in the Supreme Court.

In the case of bribery in case management, the anti-corruption commission has just appointed MA Secretary Hasbi Hasan and former Commissioner of PT Wika Beton Dadan Tri Yudianto. Their involvement was detected after the names of the two appeared in the charges of Theodorus Yosep Parera and Eko Suparno who are lawyers.

The indictment revealed that Hasbi helped in managing the case in the Supreme Court with the intermediary Commissioner of PT Wika Beton Dadan Tri Yudianto.

Meanwhile, in the case of bribery in case of case management, 15 suspects have been named. They are Judicial Judge Edy Wibowo; Supreme Court Justice Gazalba Saleh; Judicial Judge Prasetio Nugroho; and Gazalba staff, Redhy Novarisza.

The other suspects, namely Supreme Court Justice Sudrajad Dimyati; Judicial Judge or substitute clerk Elly Tri Pangestu; two state civil servants (ASN) at the Kepanteraan MA Desy Yustria and Muhajir Habibie; as well as two ASN in the Supreme Court, Nurmanto Akmal and Albasri.

Then, lawyers Yosep Parera and Eko Suparno as well as debtors of Intidana Heryanto Tanaka Savings and Loans Cooperatives Debtor Ivan Dwi Kusuma Sujanto were also named as suspects.

Finally, the KPK also appointed the Chairman of the Sandi Karya Hospital Foundation (RS) Makassar (SKM), Wahyu Hardi. He is suspected of giving Rp3.7 billion to Edy Wibowo so that the hospital is not declared bankrupt at the cassation level.
