BANYUMAS - The case of the persecution of a parking attendant in front of one of the cellular telephone counters, Karangjati Village, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, was revealed. This case went viral on social media.

Kemranjen Police Criminal Investigation Unit officers together with the Banyumas Police Criminal Investigation Unit managed to arrest the alleged perpetrator. The head of the Banyumas Police Satreskrim, Kompol Agus Supriadi Siswanto, said the alleged perpetrator had the initials DS.

"It happened on Monday, May 15, at around 16.00 WIB. The alleged perpetrator was arrested on Tuesday, May 16, after a video from CCTV circulated on social media. The alleged perpetrator had the initials DS (38), a resident of Kalitengah, Gombong District, Kebumen, while the victim had the initials AH (29), a resident of Kecila Village, Kemranjen District, Banyumas," he explained.

Before the persecution took place, he said, AH saw that two motorbike riders were talking on the side of the road so that their vehicles disturbed passing road users.

Therefore, AH reprimanded the two motorcyclists and asked them to park their vehicles properly.

However, the reprimand actually caused an argument because the perpetrator with the initials DS, who wore TNI striped pants and a three-line gray jacket on his arm, did not accept AH's request.

"DS, who did not accept the reprimand, was angry with AH and pulled the parking attendant towards the counter, then a beating occurred," he said.

As seen in the CCTV video that went viral on social media, said Kasatreskrim, DS hit AH with a helmet and fell and fainted due to bruises on the right side of his head.

After realizing that he had fainted, AH immediately reported the incident to the Kemranjen Police, which was followed up with investigations and arrests of perpetrators in the Kebumen area on Tuesday (16/5).

The evidence that was secured from the alleged perpetrator included a KYT helmet, one TNI striped pants, one three-line gray jacket longed on the arm, and one Supra X 125 motorcycle.

Regarding the loreng pants used by the alleged perpetrator, Kompol Agus confirmed that DS was only a civilian and is currently still undergoing examination at the Kemranjen Police Headquarters.

"DS will be charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 5 years in prison," he explained.
