104 Prospective Hajj Pilgrims Will Depart For The First Time Via Garuda Indonesia On May 24, 2023

TANGERANG - PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) will send 104 Pilgrims (JCH) to the Holy Land, Mecca on May 24, 2023. This was also revealed directly by the President Director of PT Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Setiaputra

"So we have prepared preparations to ensure that everything goes smoothly and the congregation can safely go to the Holy Land," Irfan told reporters at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang City, Friday, May 19.

He also arranged 14 Boeing 777 and Airbus 330 types. Later the schedule for the first revival will start from Jakarta via Soekarno - Hatta (Soetta) and Solo International Airport at Adi Soemarmo Airport

"Flying from several embarrations directly to Medina/Jeddah depends on the schedule," he said.

It is known, Soekarno Hatta Airport during the 2023 Hajj season, only serves 54,992 pilgrims. This is because the Ministry of Transportation has set 13 embarkation airports carrying pilgrims in 1444 Hijri.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II, Muhammad Awaluddin, said Soekarno Hatta Airport served 136 batches with 54,992 worshipers. However, there are five other airports managed by Angkasa Pura II that also serve Hajj flights from May 24 to August 2, 2023.

He detailed Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport (Palembang), Minangkabau Airport (Padang), Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport (Aceh), Kertajati Airport (Majalengka) and Kualanamu Airport (Medan).
