Kulon Progo Bawaslu Find 542 Voters At RT 000

KULON PROGO - The Election Supervisory Agency for Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region found 542 voters' names for the 2024 General Election in this area with the address RT / RW 000.

Chairman of Bawaslu Kulon Progo Ria Harlinawati said based on the results of the funeral, the RT/RW 000 address was spread across 12 kalinewon/sub-districts.

"After the temporary voter list (DPS) was announced, we carried out a funeral. One of the results of the funerals, one of which was found 542 names with the address RT/RW 000 spread across 12 Kapanewon/sub-districts," said Ria Harlinawati as reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 19.

He said that based on these findings, the Kulon Progo Bawaslu had submitted it to the Kulon Progo General Election Commission (KPU) for a re-surgery.

"We have asked the sub-district supervisory committee (panwascam) to submit the findings to the sub-district electoral committee (PPK) to be followed up. The latest information I received was that there were still around 200 names with an RT/RW with an address at 000," he said.

According to him, the findings of voters with the address RT/RW 000 were caused by several things. Like during the matching and research process (coklit), there were several errors in uploading data or residents could not be found at that time. So that no Identity Card (KTP) can be used for data referrals.

In addition, the Kulon Progo Bawaslu also carried out a search for double data and all processes for updating the voter list.

Therefore, it is certain that all stages carried out by the KPU and its staff are in accordance with procedures.

"We ensure that the voter data compiled by the KPU becomes an accurate voter list. We hope that voters who have entered the final voter list (DPT) are valid," he said.

Separately, the Head of the Kulon Progo KPU Planning, Data and Information Division, Yayan Mulyana, confirmed the names with the address RT/RW 000.

KPU Kulon Progo is coordinating with the Population and Civil Registration Office of Kulon Progo for data validation.

"We have coordinated with Disdukcapil to follow up on Bawaslu's recommendations," he said.

"Meanwhile, double data has been executed, both in the province and abroad," he said.
