Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka received the arrival of the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Giring Ganesha who visited Surakarta City Hall with his family.

Gibran said he was happy with the visit. However, he was reluctant to explain the arrival of Giring to his office discussing the DKI Jakarta Pilkada which had been discussed at the People's Rembuk which was initiated by PSI DKI Jakarta.

"I don't know what hit it, who hit it," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 19.

Gibran was also reluctant to respond to the inclusion of Gibran's name as one of the figures who was considered capable of leading Jakarta.

"Later, I don't think about it," he said.

Related to this, Giring said that the People's Rembuk was the idea of PSI DKI Jakarta.

"I was also surprised, there was Mas Gibran, Sis Grace came in, Emil entered. This is part of us asking," he said.

Moreover, he said, currently PSI DKI Jakarta has one faction in the DPRD so it is hoped that if in 2024 the party can win 16 seats, it can carry its own governor.

"This is part of democracy," he said.

Meanwhile, during the visit, Gibran also appreciated the progress of the City of Solo, one of which was in the tourism sector. He said that one of the tourist attractions that the community loved, namely Solo Safari.

"In Solo, there are many extraordinary destinations for families. We have a lot to learn, DKI Jakarta must also learn a lot here," he said.

In fact, during his visit, Giring also invited his family to visit Solo Safari.

"Earlier, all of them invited the children to Solo Safari, all of them went to Solo Technopark," he said.

In addition, Giring also introduced his wife Cynthia Riza as a legislative candidate for the Central Java V electoral district.

"Please pray that Cynthia will run as a candidate for the DPR RI in Central Java V," he said.

Giring also appreciated his wife's move because she wanted to get out of her comfort zone by registering as a representative of the people in Senayan.

"He knows PSI's idea to continue Pak Jokowi's big dreams, free lectures, free BPJS. I'm proud of him because he dared to get out of his comfort zone," he said.

Regarding his arrival, Giring admitted that so far he and Gibran had a good personal relationship.

"Because Mas Gibran is very kind, with me and my family, including Pak Jokowi's extended family. We are upright with Pak Jokowi because we are sincere, always support you," he said.
