"That's why, with this manual ticket, we really have to maintain public trust in the Police. That's why we do the level of supervision properly. From the briefing, direct and indirect supervision," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 17.
Latif also reminded his staff that manual ticketing is not to become a place for police to increase prosecution.
"Not all violations will be fined. Later, several violations can be dealt with by being reprimanded. For that, the public should not be afraid if they meet officers on the road if they do not commit violations," he said.
Latif also hopes that with the return of this manual ticket, people can obey and be disciplined on the road.
"Hopefully we people will be aware. So, it's like this rule gives a message to the public, 'warning' (warning) now that there has been this implementation, we must be orderly. Actually without this (ticketing) we must be orderly," he said.
