JAKARTA - The Golkar Party has agreed not to nominate its cadres who currently serve as ministers, including the General Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga Hartarto who is the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs as a candidate for DPR members in the 2024 General Election.

"Our leaders, our colleagues in the party that currently serves as ministers, we agreed that they should focus on carrying out their duties as ministers mandated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Jokowi so that this government journey is not disturbed," said Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP or Coordinator for Election Winning Division Ahmad Doli Kurnia as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, May 14.

Apart from Airlangga, the Golkar cadre who serves as minister is Luhut Bisar Pandjaitan who is the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment and Dito Ariotedjo who is the Minister of Youth and Sports.

Doli reminded all Indonesians who are voters in the 2024 General Election to visit the polling station (TPS) on February 14 to exercise their voting rights.

"We invite all people throughout Indonesia who have met the requirements as voters to attend, come to the polling stations to jointly determine the future and fate of the nation in the future," said Doli.
