KPU Kaltim Receives 21 Balloons For DPD RI Members

The General Election Commission (KPU) of East Kalimantan Province has received a registration file for 21 prospective candidates (ballons) for the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia for the Electoral Region (Dapil) of East Kalimantan on the last day of registration for the 2024 General Election, Sunday, May 14.

The chairman of the East Kalimantan Provincial KPU, Rudiansyah, said that one candidate for DPD RI member named A. Zaldi Irza Pahlevi Abddrastyid was the last applicant to submit the registration file to the KPU.

"We received the registration file for one prospective member of the DPD RI on behalf of A. Zaldi Irza Pahlevi at 11.53 WITA. After examining the file by the verification team, the file concerned has been declared accepted," said Rudiansyah, quoted from Antara, Sunday, May 14.

The submission of the registration files for prospective members of the DPD RI was also witnessed by members of the East Kalimantan Province Bawaslu Muhammad Ramli and Ebin Marwi.

According to Rudi, at the previous stage the KPU of East Kalimantan Province had determined 21 prospective members of the DPD RI who had met the full support and distribution of votes before the registration stage as election participants.

Currently, the 21 people who have been declared eligible have submitted the registration documents to the KPU according to the set schedule.

"This means that for the registrant candidates for DPD RI members, we are no longer waiting for them, all candidates for DPD members who passed the previous stage have registered with the KPU, and currently we are just waiting for the registrant from the political party," said Rudi.

Until the H-1 close of registration, said Rudi, only 10 political parties out of 18 parties have been designated nationally as participants in the 2024 General Election.

"We are still waiting for eight political parties to submit registration documents. Especially on the last day, we will work until 23.59 WITA," said Rudi.

The following is a list of candidates for DPD RI members who have registered with the East Kalimantan KPU as participants in the 2024 DPD RI Member Election.

Nanang Sulaiman, Abdul Jawad, Aji Mirni Mawarni, Andi Fathul Khair, Andi Sofyan Hasdam, Bambang Susilo, Emir Moeis, Fahrur Razi, Habib Ahmad Bahasyim,Jafar Abdul Gaffar, and Kamal Harpa.

Furthermore, Muhammad Fathur Rahman Al Kutai, Rendi Susiswo Ismail, Sinta Rosma Yenti, Soedarmo, Sumadi, Yulianus Henock Sumual, Zainal Arifin, Naspi Arsyad, Dody Rondonuwu, and Zaldi Ilda Pahlevy Abdurrasyid.
