JAKARTA - A former member of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD NTB) with the initials AA, was named a suspect in an immoral case against his biological child.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Mataram Police, Comr. Kadek Adi Budi Astawa, said that the AA status increased after his party conducted a case title.

From the results of the case title, said Kadek Adi, the actions allegedly committed by AA had met the elements of Article 82 Paragraph 2 of the Perppu 1/2016 in conjunction with Article 76E of Law Number 35/2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23/2002 concerning Child Protection.

"We apply paragraph 2 because the person concerned is the biological father of the victim, so that there is an additional one-third of the penalty threat from the main sentence," said Kadek in Mataram as reported by Antara, Wednesday, January 20.

In accordance with his criminal suspicion, AA, who has served 5 terms as a member of the legislature, is threatened with 20 years in prison.

One of the evidence that supports AA as a suspect is the result of post mortem outside the victim's genitals. In the victim's medical records, according to him, there were new wounds with irregular shapes on the genitals.

Likewise on the victim's breast. "So there is a strong suspicion that the perpetrator has tried to force the victim," he said.

The victim, who is the reported biological child of his second wife, is a woman who is still in high school.

In his report at the Mataram Police Headquarters, the victim claimed to have received indecent treatment from his biological father on January 18, 2021.

To the police, the victim admitted that the act occurred when his biological mother was undergoing medical treatment at the hospital because she had contracted COVID-19.
