There Is No Rejection From Commission III DPR, One Step Further Komjen Listyo Sigit Becomes National Police Chief Replacing Idham Azis

JAKARTA - Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives approved Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo as the National Police Chief who will replace Idham Azis. Furthermore, the name of Komjen Listyo Sigit to be brought to the paripuna meeting so that a second-level decision can be made by the DPR RI.

In making the decision, all factions in Commission III of the DPR RI approved Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo as the new National Police Chief and approved the honorable dismissal of General Idham Azis as Chief of Police.

"Based on the considerations of the views and notes conveyed by the final factions, the leadership and members of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission III agreed to honor the dismissal of the National Police Chief on behalf of Police General Idham Azis and approved the appointment of Police Commissioner General Listyo Sigit as Chief of Police," said the Chairman of the Commission. III DPR RI Herman Hery reading the final decision, Wednesday, January 20.

Furthermore, Herman continued, this decision will be brought to the plenary session which will be held in the near future.

This approval was given after Listyo carried out a fit and proper test at Commission III of the DPR RI. This activity has been running since 10.00 WIB.

In this fit and proper test, Listyo explained a number of things. Including the precise transformation of the Police.

"I will carry out the transformation of the Police by transforming into a predictive, responsible, transparent, and just Polri which we introduce with the concept of a precise Polri. This concept will color the Police in the future," said Listyo Sigit when presenting his paper.

Precise Polri leadership, continued Listyo, will emphasize the importance of the ability of the predictive policing approach. Later, this approach will be accompanied by fair responsibility and transparency, which are expected to solve various problems.

In addition, approaches will also be applied in taking action steps that are tactical and technical in the field. "So that future police actions will be more precise and able to solve the problem completely," he said.

Meanwhile, responsibility, said Listyo, can be interpreted as responsibility that can be realized through words, attitudes, behaviors, and responsiveness in carrying out tasks. "The whole system is open, accountable, humanist and always ready to be monitored," he said.

"So that the implementation of police duties will be able to guarantee a sense of security and a sense of justice in the community," he concluded.
