BMKG Issues Early Warning For Heavy Rain In Jakarta

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning regarding moderate and heavy rains in the Jabodetabek area.

"Early warning of the Jabodetabek weather on Wednesday at 00.35 WIB has the potential for moderate to heavy rain," said BMKG information quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 20, in the early hours of the morning.

Areas with the potential for rain at this time are West Jakarta (Tambora, Grogol Petamburan, Taman Sari, Cengkareng, Kebon Jeruk, Kalideres, Pal Merah, Kembangan); Central Jakarta (Sawah Besar, Kemayoran, Gambir, Senen, Cempaka Putih, Menteng, Tanah Abang, Johar Baru).

Then North Jakarta namely Tanjung Priok, Penjaringan, Pademangan); South Jakarta in Tebet, Setiabudi, Mampang Prapatan, Pasar Minggu, Kebayoran Lama, Cilandak, Kebayoran Baru, Pancoran, Jagakarsa, Pesanggrahan). Then East Jakarta in the Jatinegara, Matraman, Kramatjati, Pasar Rebo, Makasar area.

Apart from the DKI Jakarta area, other areas that have the potential for rain are Tangerang, Bogor Regency, Bekasi City, Depok, South Tangerang, and Tangerang Regency.

The potential for moderate and heavy rain is also expected to expand to other areas.

Until now, for Bekasi City areas such as Jatiasih, Jatisampurna it rains with heavy intensity. Rain also fell in the South Jakarta area.
