OKU - The District Attorney's Office (Kejari) of South Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra has named three local General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) officials as suspects in the alleged corruption case. South OKU Kejari Adi Purnama said the three were entangled in corruption in the management of simultaneous regional elections in the 2019 to 2021 budget year with a total budget value of IDR 15 billion. The three suspects are HA as Chairman of the Bawaslu Commissioner of Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Regency for the 2019-2021 period and BH who has served as Coordinator of the Bawaslu Secretariat since 2019-2023. "Then, CPW as the Treasurer of Bawaslu, Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Regency 2019-2023," he said in Muaradua, Friday He explained that the determination of the suspect after an investigation was carried out based on the Investigation Order Number 03/L 6.23/Fd.1/01/2023 dated January 2, 2023. "There have been findings of alleged corruption in the use of Bawaslu grant funds in South OKU Regency sourced from the APBD for the 2019-2020 fiscal year," he said. In the audit report on the calculation of state financial losses, he said, there was a deviation that caused state financial losses of Rp3.3 billion. Currently, the three suspects have been detained for further legal proceedings. "The detention of the suspect is considered accelerating the filing and delegation to the trial," he said.
