DKI Pemprov Is Asked To Be Alert To New Problems In Cash Social Assistance Distribution

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is distributing cash social assistance (bansos) to 1,055,216 residents whose economic conditions are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the DKI Provincial Government was asked to be aware of new problems after the distribution of the cash assistance. A member of the Jakarta DPRD PSI faction, August Hamonangan, said that there was a potential crowd of people because they had to be present in person to collect a card containing cash social assistance.

"The DKI Provincial Government must continue to provide supervision, must ensure the safety and security of residents in the distribution of BST. Do not endanger the officers in the field or the residents receiving BST, because of crowds or wearing masks incorrectly," August said in his statement, Tuesday, 19 January.

In addition, Bank DKI as the BUMD implementing cash social assistance also has its own challenges because many residents do not have a Bank DKI card.

To avoid congestion at Bank DKI branch offices in making cards, August asked Bank DKI to open a post at the Kelurahan office or leave the form at the RT / RW Covid Task Force.

"Making DKI Bank cards must be made easier, information related to documents that must be brought for registration must be clear. Do not let residents still have to go back and forth to meet the requirements. Or the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government can also take advantage of technology, residents can take a photo of the document first, then later it will be verified with the original data when taking the card, "he said.

Then, the DKI Provincial Government must pay close attention to the BST distribution process and minimize technical problems experienced by residents such as lost ATM cards, forgetting ATM card PINs, and forgetting distribution days.

"Citizens must continue to be assisted, information on BST and the distribution process must be clearly conveyed. Share it online, post it in RT / RW to Kelurahan. Open a complaint channel so that residents who do not receive or know that there are residents who received double BST can complain," he said.

For information, there are two parties who distribute cash assistance to DKI residents with a nominal value of Rp. 300 thousand per month for four months. Apart from the DKI Pemprov, as many as 750 thousand families were handed over through PT Pos by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Apart from cash assistance, the government also has an assistance program in 2021, namely the Family Hope Program (PKH), namely the Basic Food Card. This assistance is given to families other than cash assistance recipients.

In Jakarta, cash social assistance distribution locations are in 160 location points from each administrative city area of DKI Jakarta. The BST is distributed through the account and given in the form of a Bank DKI Savings Card and ATM Card.

In the collection, the recipient of the cash social assistance is required to bring an Invitation, KTP and Family Card in the original form and a photocopy. If the BST Recipient is unable to attend according to the distribution schedule, the recipient will be invited back on the second invitation and the third invitation made after the first distribution is complete.
