Maximize Service, Kalikangkung Semarang Gate Begins To Open One-way Path

JAKARTA - Traffic engineering in the form of the implementation of a one-way route is opened starting from the Kalikangkung Semarang toll gate to the west or Jakarta to the Cikampek toll gate on Saturday night.

Before opening at 20.35 WIB, officers cleaned the route from the west about two hours before traffic engineering was implemented.

The previous one-way route has been implemented since the Palimanan to Cikampek toll gate on Saturday afternoon.

Substations located at the Kalikangkung toll gate are opened optimally to serve motorists.

Meanwhile, the condition of the flow of vehicles since the one-way flow was implemented is relatively congested but smooth.

Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head, Lisye Octaviana in a press release in Semarang, said the opening of the one-way route took into account the significant increase in traffic volume heading to Jakarta.

To toll users who will travel from Kalikangkung to Jakarta are advised to prepare themselves and their vehicles, including fuel and electronic money for transactions at toll booths.

Meanwhile, data at the Kalikangkung Semarang Toll Gate Security Post noted that the number of vehicles passing through to the west reached from 06.00 to 18.00 WIB, which reached 13,137 vehicles.

The police estimate that the increase in the flow of vehicles to Jakarta will occur in the backflow of the second wave from April 29 to May 1.
