The Ministry Of Law And Human Rights Is Looking For US Christian Gray Foreigners Who Overstay In Bali

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in Bali is looking for Kristen Gray who has caused a scene in the virtual world.

Gray invites foreigners to move and settle in Bali as well as share tips on avoiding penalties for health protocol rules to outsmart visa overstay in Indonesia.

"We have fielded several teams. One team from the regional office then also from the Ngurah Rai immigration office, ”said Head of Immigration Division of the Bali Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Eko Budianto to reporters, Monday, January 18.

The first team checks sponsors regarding Gray's Christian visa. The sponsor turns out to be in Bali.

"So, we will immediately go to that address and then for the whereabouts or residence of (the) concerned," he continued.

The Kemenkum HAM team is also checking Kristen Gray's residence permit on the crossing data.

"But so far we have no accurate information, it could be the possibility that the name concerned is not the real name," continued Eko.

Through his Twitter account, Kristen Gray wrote about her experience of heading to Bali after losing her job in 2019 with her boyfriend. At first, they only tried to stay for six months in Bali.

During their stay in Bali, they worked as graphic design freelancers. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic they were forced to stay longer in Bali.

The tweet then became a polemic when Kristen. Gray said that the cost of living and living in Bali is fairly cheap. He said that the cost of renting a house on the Island of the Gods was only US $ 400 or around Rp.5.6 million when compared to when he lived in Los Angeles (LA), which had to pay US $ 1,300 (Rp.18.3 million) to rent an apartment.

Gray, who already feels happy and at home, also explained the many advantages of living in Bali, including safe, low cost of living, a luxurious lifestyle, LGBT-friendly, and a black community.

The problem is, Gray specifically tweeted that he had a special visa agent and admitted that he had tricks on how to enter Indonesia during COVID-19. Even though currently, Indonesia is closing its doors to foreign citizens.
