Until D-1 Lebaran Jasa Marga Recorded 1.3 Million Vehicles Leaving Jabotabek

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk noted that from D-7 to D-1 Lebaran, 1,350,682 vehicles left the Jabotabek area.

Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana said the figure is the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Barrier / Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (direction of Merak), Ciawi GT (direction of Puncak), Cikampek Utama GT (direction of Trans Java) and Kalihurip Utama GT (direction of Bandung).

"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 41.25 percent compared to normal traffic, from 956,242 vehicles," he told the media, Saturday, April 22. Meanwhile, when compared to the Lebaran 2022 period, the total volume of this traffic increased by 3 percent from 1,311,893 vehicles.

Meanwhile, when compared with the prediction of the 2023 Eid traffic volume in the same period, the total traffic volume is 0.2 percent higher than 1,347,950 vehicles.

Lisye continued, for the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek towards the three directions, the majority were 790,346 vehicles or 58.5 percent headed East, 322,263 vehicles or 23.9 percent headed towards Merak, and 238,073 vehicles headed towards Puncak.

Lisye also appealed to people who travel for gatherings and return to the Jabotabek area via toll roads to ensure travel readiness, including meeting travel requirements, ensuring that drivers and vehicles are in prime condition and roadworthy, preparing supplies, ensuring sufficient fuel and electronic money balances.

"Avoid travel at the predicted time at the peak of backflow which is predicted to fall on Monday-Tuesday, April 24-25, 2023, to avoid accumulation of vehicles. Also avoid traveling at favorite times, such as morning and evening," continued Lisye.

He continued, Jasa Marga also appealed to road users to shift trips to Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday (April 26-30, 2023) for a more comfortable trip, as well as being able to take advantage of a 20 percent toll rate discount for the furthest tariff on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road which is valid at Cikampek Utama GT and Kalihurip Utama GT on April 27 at 06.00 WIB to April 29, 2023 at 06.00 WIB.

"Obey signs and directions from officers in the field and always be disciplined in the provisions of driving on toll roads. Use time wisely by not lingering in the rest area and always implementing health protocols," concluded Lisye.
