130,320 People Travel Via Soetta Airport

JAKARTA - Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta), Tangerang, is scheduled to dispatch 130,320 passengers six days before Eid al-Fitr (Lebaran) 1444 Hijri/2023.

This number consists of 68,663 people who traveled departing and 61,657 people who arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

Referring to the data obtained from the 2023 Eid Al-Fitr Integrated Command Post at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang as of 21.30 WIB (15/3), the number of passengers today rose from the record number of passengers in the same period last year which was recorded at 105,170 people.

"From the flight plan data on April 16, 2023, there were 130,320 passengers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport," said Senior Manager of Branch Communication and Legal Soekarno-Hatta Airport M Holik Muwardi as quoted by Antara, Sunday.

In terms of traffic, the number of flights also increased. The number of flights today was recorded at 957 flights consisting of 476 departure flights and 481 arriving flights. That number increased from the record in the same period last year, which was 901 flights.

In detail, the number of flights at Terminal 1 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport was recorded at 187 aircraft with 26,553 passengers. The number of flights at Terminal 2 is 384 aircraft with 48,723 passengers and Terminal 3 with 407 aircraft with 55,044 passengers.

In addition to commercial flights, Soekarno-Hatta Airport also recorded 15 cargo flights.

It is known that the number of passengers and traffic at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on seven days before Lebaran 2023 increased by 45 percent when compared to the same period last year.

On April 15, 2023, the number of passengers was recorded at 142,186 people with 1,002 aircraft. Meanwhile, the data for D-7 Lebaran 2022 recorded the number of passengers as many as 98,227 people with 837 aircraft.

Holik predicts that there will be an increase in the number of passengers by 20 percent and the number of traffic by 10 percent to 15 percent during this year's Eid homecoming period.
