JAKARTA - Kabasarnas Deputy Marshal TNI (Ret.) Bagus Puruhito said that the total findings during the SAR Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 operation until the ninth day reached 308 body bags.

As for today, Sunday, January 17, Basarnas managed to find 10 bags of pieces of the victim's body, 4 small bags of plane fragments. The search was carried out by the Basarnas Special Group team and divers from the Indonesian Navy who are still carrying out diving activities today.

"So that the total for the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 SAR operation is 308 body bags, 58 small pieces of aircraft, 54 large pieces of aircraft, one unit of FDR and part of the CVR (cockpit voice recorder)," he said, at JICT II, North Jakarta. .

Furthermore, Bagus said that this unit of findings had been received from KRI Kurau. Meanwhile, about the CVR cover unit found by divers is the CVR Electronic Unit.

"I had already coordinated with the head of the NTSC a little explaining not to go back and forth to ask questions, so what was found was part of the CVR unit called the CVR Electronic Unit which functions to capture conversation data in the cockpit that had been found," he said.

As is known, the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane crashed around Male Island and Lancang Island, Thousand Islands, or 11 nautical miles from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang-Banten on Saturday, January 9.

Based on manifest data, the aircraft produced in 1994 carried 62 people consisting of 50 passengers and 12 crew members. Of these, 40 adults, seven children, three babies. Meanwhile, the 12 crew consists of six active crews and six extra crews.
